Canada Post National Strike Impacts
Canada Post has announced a national strike, effective Nov. 15, 2024.
All incoming and outgoing mail delivery will be impacted.
Payment due dates for property taxes, water bills and parking tickets will not change. Residents are responsible for keeping payments up to date.
Residents are encouraged to sign up for eBilling - Woolwich Township to prevent delayed invoices and payments.

Woolwich, ON – A Snow Event – Parking Ban is in effect for the Township of Woolwich beginning Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. and will remain in effect for 24 hours unless extended or cancelled.
Waterloo Region –The Ontario government is continuing to ease public health measures across the Province with a gradual and cautious approach. The next phase will see measures easing on February 17, 2022 at 12:01 am.
Woolwich, ON – The Township is providing notification to the public of testing that will be occurring on our Siren/Shelter-in-Place Alerting System. As this is the final step in transitioning the Township to our digital system, the town sirens will need to sound during the identified timeframe. Each siren location will need to run for a full 3-minute cycle at some point during the timeframe noted below.
The Ontario government has released details of a cautious and gradual easing of public health measures, starting on January 31, 2022.

Woolwich, ON – The Township is providing notification to the public of upgrades and testing that will be occurring next week, January 10th – January 14th to our Siren System. As this is the first step in working towards transitioning the township to our digital system, there is the possibility that the sirens could sound during this testing phase. Notification is being provided to the public as this potential for the sirens to sound will be outside of the normal weekly scheduled test of the siren system, and we do not wish to cause alarm to the community.
Waterloo Region – In response to an increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, the government of Ontario is moving the province to a modified version of Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators.
Woolwich, ON – In response to the rapidly-spreading and highly transmissible Omicron variant, effective at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021, the Ontario government is applying additional public health and workplace safety measures, including capacity and social gathering limits. We have seen nothing like this during the pandemic so far and this is expected to place unprecedented, unmanageable strain on our health care system.
