Canada Post National Strike Impacts
Canada Post has announced a national strike, effective Nov. 15, 2024.
All incoming and outgoing mail delivery will be impacted.
Payment due dates for property taxes, water bills and parking tickets will not change. Residents are responsible for keeping payments up to date.
Residents are encouraged to sign up for eBilling - Woolwich Township to prevent delayed invoices and payments.

Woolwich, ON – A partnership within the village of St. Jacobs between the Township of Woolwich, members of the St. Jacobs BIA, and the federal government have created a new community space at the corner of Queensway Drive and Spring Street, adjacent to the St. Jacobs Library.
Voters are choosing to either vote online, not in-line or by phone while on the go! With Woolwich Council proving the opportunity to vote via internet or telephone voting methods, Woolwich voters have joined hundreds of other Ontario municipalities casting their ballots electronically in the 2022 Municipal Election. More voters have already cast their ballot before voting day using internet and telephone voting in the 2022 Municipal Election for the Township of Woolwich.
Sadly, the Townships of Wellesley and Woolwich learned that Mark Fraser, the WRDSB Trustee candidate for Wellesley/Woolwich passed away suddenly. We offer our sincerest condolences to Mr. Fraser’s family and friends.
Woolwich, ON – Woolwich Township’s Climate Action Initiative will be launching a “Talk to an Owner” event series where interested parties can gain first-hand knowledge from electric car, electric bike, and cargo bike owners. The first event in the series will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Canadian Tire in Elmira (325 Arthur Street South).

Waterloo Region – With the recent precipitation that has been received, the Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich are lifting the open burn ban that came into effect July 28th, 2022.
Waterloo Region – In an effort to reduce the increased fire risk caused by continuing dry and hot weather, an Open Burn Ban has been issued in the Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich.
Woolwich, ON – The Township of Woolwich Economic Development and Tourism Department has launched a Businesses Retention and Expansion (BR+E) Project. The project is funded in part by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures (WWCF), and the Township of Woolwich.
Woolwich, ON – In January 2022, the Township of Woolwich received a $250,000 grant from the Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund – Capital stream. This 12-month grant, delivered by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), supports the replacement of the ball diamond lighting at Lions Park in Elmira. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2022 and will provide Township users and local sports organizations improved lighting and playability for years to come.
